Even if you could get the wire that would stay strong enough at the appropriate temperature, the lead would act as a big heat sink and wick heat away fromwhere you want your cut. Instead of looping the wire around the bolt simply drill a hole thru the bolt and feed the wire through it. I have not read the other comments yet but I know the guitar string will limit the length of wing blank you can cut. Now to check the closet for my used guitar strings.
